Giving Tuesday: BelEve UK calls for mentors for young people

As part of the global Giving Tuesday movement, BelEve UK is searching for 100 dedicated mentors to empower and support girls in achieving their full potential.  

The campaign “Believe in Her Success,” aims to address the gender stereotypes that still limit over half of girls aged 8-22.

BelEve U.K. Founder Marsha Powell says, “After the sudden death of my mother, my sisters and I became fully aware of the value of having a positive female role model in our life who instilled the importance of courage and the power of exercising your voice.” 

The Powell sisters , Marsha , Rochelle and Chyloe decided to use their grief to create a positive organisation that empowers girls to realise their potential strengths and personal growth.

A study carried out by Woman Ahead showed that 87% of mentors and mentees feel empowered by their mentoring relationships, leading to increased confidence and self-assurance.  

Through the mentorship program. Naomi not only gained the necessary skills and knowledge but also find her true passion in Law.

She said: “When it came to choosing a career path, I found myself in a bit of a maze. That’s when the power of mentoring stepped into rescue me.”

BelEve Uk calls on individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of girls to step forward and become mentors.

By dedicating their time to support the girls to break societal limitations and stereotypes.
