Best things to do in Greenwich this summer

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is a place of great historical significance and boasts several famous attractions that are worth visiting.

The Royal Observatory

The Royal Observatory is renowned for the Prime Meridian Line, which divides the eastern and western hemispheres of the Earth.

When you stand across the line, you can have one foot in the east and the other in the west.

The Observatory also houses fascinating exhibits on astronomy, and timekeeping, making it a fun and educational visit for all ages.

Greenwich Market

For something more local and laid back, head over to Greenwich Market.

It’s filled with independent shops and stalls featuring handmade crafts, art, vintage treasures, and international food.

At nearly 300 years old, the market combines historical charm with vibrant, modern culture.

Cutty Sark

Climb aboard one of the fastest sailing ships of the Victorian era, originally built for the tea trade between England and China, now a museum.

The ship lets you walk under the hull, explore interactive exhibits, and enjoy river views.

Greenwich Park

National Maritime Museum 

Visit the world’s largest museum dedicated to naval history and maritime culture.

Free to enter, it features stories of polar exploration, famous battles, and ocean science with hands-on displays for families.
