Sixteen of Peckham’s top restaurants will unite for ‘The Peckham Weekender’ next month, offering £10 specials with proceeds supporting low-income families through Peckham Pantry.
The three-day event, organised by Mr Bao and running from 4–6 July, follows the success of its 2024 debut.
Participating venues will donate £1 from each dish sold to Peckham Pantry, a membership food club tackling food insecurity in Southwark.
Daisy Johnston, Senior Marketing Manager at Mr Bao, said: “Peckham is an amazing community to operate in.”
“We want to collectively give back to the community by supporting Peckham Pantry and the vital work that they do here.”
The event also highlights Pecan’s wider efforts to tackle poverty across Southwark through the rollout of affordable Pop-Up Pantries.
Temi, Peckham Pantry Manager, said: “We were really grateful for the Peckham Weekender last spring.
“The money raised allowed us to stock up on essential store cupboard staples – the kind of items our customers rely on and hope to find when they visit.
“It was a lovely community initiative from Mr Bao and other local restaurants, and we truly appreciated it.”
Restaurants taking part include Mr Bao, Forza Wine, Ganapati, The Begging Bowl, Jurkish, Peckham Cellars and Artusi.

Dishes range from brown crab croquettes and jerk chicken buns to seafood pickles and lamb shoulder melts.
The Peckham Weekender is part of a growing number of grassroots food events aimed at combining local hospitality with community action.
Last year’s fundraiser raised hundreds of pounds for Peckham Pantry, which allows members to purchase £15 worth of food for just £4.50.
