Southwark Tigers are on a mission to change the lives of young inner-city Londoners, one free rugby session at a time.
Founded in 2000 as the London’s first inner-city club, they are a registered charity who provide weekly sessions to aspiring Owen Farrells across Southwark.
Between their schools program, their Levelling Up Initiative – which offers lessons free of charge every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday – and their regular youth festivals, they are using rugby to address issues including crime, deprivation and a lack of accessible sports clubs in the borough.
