Reclaim the Streets, in collaboration with Critical Mass, celebrated their 30th anniversary in May with a mass cycling demonstration in central London.
The action group burst onto the scene in 1995 by taking over Camden High Street, challenging car culture and reclaiming urban spaces for public use.
Dean, who goes by Uncle Rideout and is affiliated with both Reclaim the Streets and Critical Mass, feels that not enough is being done to grow London’s middling cycling infrastructure.
He said: “We’re here to make car-users aware that cyclists do matter, and cyclists do cycle in London.”
The group congregated at South Bank on a sunny Sunday afternoon, before snaking their way through London’s bustling streets, and stopping in Farringdon for a street party along the way.
